Apply for Research Distinction
The Research Distinction application is open year-round and awarded at the end fall and spring semesters. Learn about requirements, ½ûÂþÌìÌÃing and our timeline.
Application
CPP students must fulfill the following criteria to be eligible for the Research Distinction:
- Participate in faculty-mentored research or creative activity for a semester
- Present at a research conference or symposium. CPP RSCA and CARS are acceptable.
- Publish the research in a journal or deposit on Bronco ScholarWorks

Requirements to Apply
Requirements for the Research Distinction are listed below. Students must complete all the requirements at the time of application to be awarded the Research Distinction.
*Students who complete semester-long research experiences (ex. capstone, thesis, creative activities) are encouraged to ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ, but are required to workshop, present or publish or submit their work after the semester experience.

Complete a minimum, 6 months of faculty-mentored research, scholarship, or creative activity during your time at CPP. *Complete a semester-long research experience (capstone, thesis, creative activities) |
| Present at a Conference |
Present research at the ½ûÂþÌìÌà Student RSCA Conference, ½ûÂþÌìÌà Creative Activities and Research Symposium or a Professional Research Conference. *Present after the semester experience. |
| Publish a Full Paper or Scholarly Work or Submit a Paper to a Peer Review Journal |
Publish a full paper or scholarly work related to the research or creative activity to Bronco Scholarworks or any Peer Reviewed journal. Submitting a paper to a Peer Review Journal requires proof of submission, not acceptance. *Publish after the semester experience. |
