Dr. JC Cañedo holds a doctorate in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Human Resources, a master’s degree in organizational leadership, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ. He has over 15 years of management experience in retail operations, investigations, and retail distribution. He also has over 15 years of instructional experience at the collegiate level and serves as a consultant on various business projects. Dr. Cañedo is committed to giving the best possible learning experience to his students. The foundation of his approach was his experience as an academic scholar and his professional career in management.
Dr. J.C. Cañedo served as a mentor for the Cal Poly Innovation Lab and contributed to university-wide initiatives such as “The Future of Work” and “The Fearless Classroom,” for which he received the 2022 ONE Team President’s Award at ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ. His research focuses on psychological safety, culturally responsive pedagogy, and student persistence, particularly among underrepresented populations. He is a co-principal investigator on CSU-funded studies and has presented his work at national conferences, including the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities.
