Wellllll I'm doing lots of digital lately, it's true. And digital is where it's at for magazine editorials. I have made THREE, count them THREE since September! (3rd announcement coming soon..) BUT.. I bet you thought I'd let my film photography and darkroom stuff slide.. Did'n'ya?! NOPE. In fact, I'm readying for a Powell's City of Books group Darkroom show coming up this February. It's called: THE SILVER GELATIN FREAKOUT Luvvit. :-) So I spent alllll Saturday in darkroom and I made my first 16x20 prints! (With some success too...) Keep in mind, I'm not usually using fiber paper, and this takes more steps in printing... To boot, we had to set up special trays, in a special sink no less. I can't use the tongs because the paper is too heavy and will kink weirdly, so I wore blue plastic gloves and washed them in the wash tank every time I took this humongous print to the next tray...Developer, Stop Bath, Fix, Wash, Hypo and then back to Wash. WHOOOOO HOOOOOOO! I successfully finished 4 prints. ONE might even show locally! Please Note* I've included my dear and loving cat, May, in this photo so you can clearly see the size... DARKROOM will never leave me!!!!!!
