DIGITAL: COLOR: FUN

The picture I'm going to talk about today was not an assignment. 
Well - YES - actually is was a self-imposed assignment.
I LOVE THE PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS.
AS I LOVE THE PORTLAND TIMBERS (REIGNING NATIONAL CHAMPIONS)

I had been conceiving this composition for almost a year now, but had never been able to catch a ride or get the "oomf" to take the bus with my tripod set-up and all. So the Friday evening when the Blazers beat the Clippers for the final time this season - I got a ride.
I got in my Trail Blazers gear and headed to the credit union that so ingeniously painted this wall-length sign on the side of their building. 
YES, IT WAS RAINING.
I only had minutes to scrabble out of the car, put down my tripod, set my camera to delayed remote and BAM! I took two shots and raced back to the car, remembering to pick my coat up, out of the mud! 

-AND GREAT NEWS AFTER THIS PHOTO AND THE GAME THAT NIGHT-
The Portland Trail Blazers made it to the second round NBA playoffs. Which, considering our team's starting point at the beginning of the season, is a miracle. (Really, by "miracle" I mean the undaunted, hard work, training, practice, and bonding with which each member of the team who was then able to pursue themselves in such a way as to raise their own game LEAGUES higher than the previous year.) 
GO BLAZERS! I love this team.
The series with GSW has only just begun - You just never know.
